HDRenewable joined hands with the Tainan City Government on August 31 to hold the ground-breaking ceremony for the Ri-Yun Project in Qigu, Tainan. This is the first private-run environmental and social inspection fishery-electricity symbiosis project in Taiwan that has been approved by the government. The farm is expected to be completed in March 2023 and can supply 42.6MW of greenelectricity. It will use the method of ecological farming to polyculture white shrimp and mullet, injecting new energy into Taiwan's fishery and photovoltaic layout.

Edward Hsieh, Chairman of HD Renewable, said, "We fully support the government's goal of achieving a 4.4GW fishery-electricity symbiosis power generation capacity in 2050. HD Renewable expands the layout of fishery-electricity symbiosis and hopes to improve Taiwan's aquaculture through comprehensive guidance and transformation. While driving local economic development, it can also implement the corporate vision of "smart green energy, readily available".

Jason Chou, general manager of HD Renewable, said, " HD Renewable actively invests in ecological aquaculture, not only focusing on the ease of farming, but also creating a growth environment suitable for various aquatic products in the right place. The resources of electricity symbiosis contribute to the sustainable development of Taiwan's aquaculture industry."

In addition to the Ri-Yun Project, the government demonstration project of fisheryandelectricitysymbiosis co-operated by HD Renewable and the Fisheries Research Institute, COA has been completed first in July this year, and was officially put into seedlings to breed clams in August. It is expected to provide 1MW of green electricity, and the first batch of clams is also expected to be harvested in the second quarter of next year. Next, the two fishery and electricity symbiosis projects adjacent to the Ri-Yun Project will also start construction one after another. At the same time, HD Renewable will also develop an energy storage project in Tainan, which is expected to provide 204MW of energy storage capacity and expand the layout of the green energy field.
