The Energy Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) held the "Renewable Energy Adventure Day" (再生能源奇航日) at Taipei Zoo on June 13, transforming the popular family destination into an engaging green-energy learning environment that combined education and entertainment. The event featured interactive family activities, fun challenge stations, and energy-themed educational experiences, attracting enthusiastic participation from visitors of all ages.

Leveraging the zoo's unique educational setting, the event showcased six renewable-energy-themed stations covering wind, solar, geothermal, small hydropower, biomass, and ocean energy. Through hands-on activities, children and adults alike became "Green Energy Explorers," gaining a deeper understanding of how different renewable energy technologies generate electricity and how they are applied in everyday life.

The Energy Administration also hosted an award ceremony for the "Green Energy, My Homeland" painting competition (「綠色能源 我的家園」繪畫比賽). A total of 407 submissions were received, reflecting strong nationwide participation from schoolchildren. Through vibrant colors and imaginative creativity, participants illustrated their visions of a sustainable future and environmentally friendly communities. Many artworks incorporated elements such as wind turbines, solar panels, oceans, and wildlife, vividly expressing the younger generation's perspectives and aspirations regarding environmental protection and renewable energy development.

Deputy Director-General Chung-Hsien Chen (陳崇憲) of the Energy Administration stated that advancing the green energy transition requires the collective participation of society. He noted that educational initiatives delivered through enjoyable, interactive experiences can help children and adults better understand renewable energy while naturally integrating energy conservation and carbon-reduction practices into their daily lives.

Looking ahead, the Energy Administration will continue to promote renewable energy education by integrating public outreach, environmental sustainability, and community engagement. Through diverse and accessible programs, the agency aims to bring renewable energy concepts to households and local communities, fostering a cleaner, more sustainable future for all.
