CIP held the second CPPA Day-Offshore Wind CPPA of Green Electricity Seminar in Taichung Port on July 22. It is hoped that through the establishment of a regular communication mechanism, the information on the operation of the greenelectricity market will be shared, and enterprises with green electricity needs will be assisted in planning practical and feasible solutions.
Through the seminar, both suppliers and demanders can create appropriate corporate green electricity solutions and pave the way for a complete green electricity market mechanism. Naiwen Marina Hsu, General Manager of CIP Taiwan, said that CIP's mission is to assist the global energy transition with commercial power, so its investment and layout in Taiwan is comprehensive. By introducing CIP's professional and abundant experience and resources in green finance, enterprises in need of green electricity can fully understand the operation of CPPA, and then develop mature supporting facilities to gradually help Taiwan to move towards a free green electricity trading market.
More than 100 representatives of enterprises in Taichung Port participated actively at the scene, and Miau-Tang Chen, Deputy General Manager of TIPC Taichung Branch, also attended the scene to give guidance. Chen said that TIPC actively cooperates with the government's green energy industry policy, and has become the backing for the development of Taiwan's renewable energy industry through port planning and hardware upgrades, and also willing to assist the port operators to comply with the regulations of large electricity users and carbon reduction.
