Founded in 2016, HD REWABLE ENERGY CO., LTD. (HDRE) has focused on various business units, ranging from the development and construction of solar energy sites, to electric vehicles charging stations, energy storage, the selling of green energy, etc. The company has unveiled their ambitions and is deploying plans of becoming an integral part of the electricity market very proactively. By the end of this year, energy storage equipment will also enter the initial stages of commercial production. Through the extensive network of smart green energy systems developed in-house, HDRE has been able to quickly provide solutions for end-users in Taiwan, shaping the landscape of the energy storage markets, establishing a fundamental foothold in the accessibility of energy storage to every household as per their dedication towards this relatively untouched sector of the overall energy market.

HDRE's Commitment to Revolutionizing Taiwan's Green Energy Services

Located near Sogo Department Store in the Tianmu area of Shihlin District in Taipei City, the HDRE headquarters is already pushing the capacity of its office space as expansion ramps up with each passing month. Branches of the enterprise, such as the Smart Energy Network (SEN), Excess Energy Storage (EES) and rapidly developing Renewable Energy Enterprise (REE) are actively seeking top talent to support and supplement their ambition. Currently, all the HDRE enterprise has approximately 160 employees across all of its offices, branches and project sites around Taiwan, cluding locations Taipei, Taichung, Tainan, Kaohsiung, Penghu, etc. Staff morale is extremely high and brimming with enthusiasm, eagerness and vigor, mirroring the warmth and enthusiasm of solar heat.
"In the near future, energy will be integral, and circulated like currency," bold remarks made by Shi-Chang Zhou, General Manager of HDRE. In a recent energy forum, Zhou speaks about his future vision where all forms of renewable and sustainable energy is commoditized, is readily accessible and easily exchangeable as Taiwan's Energy Transformation Initiative matures and comes to fruition. "Electricity within one household can be sold directly to power grids, to convenience stores, or to other households, which contributes to point-to-point, multiple-point-to-multiple-point, or single-point-to-multiple-point networks. The world will become a place where energy storage and slow charging are accessible to every household." Therefore, once energy transformation matures in Taiwan to a certain extent, energy storage devices will become an indispensable component of every household. This is one of the core drivers for HDRE's conviction and dedication to advocating the energy revolution.
Zhou continued, "We connect the dots of trivial energy storage, just like the idea of Starlink. Energy storage devices are diversified by their scale and application. Through cloud computing and processing technology, various power consumption situations can be managed. For example, in the second peak electricity consumption period throughout the day, Taiwan Power Company's (TPC) would be relieved from the burden of pumping out enough electricity to meet demands. Electricity demands would be satisfied by the extensive network of household and commercial storage unit, regulated by our cloud technology therefore establishing the most economically efficient equilibrium between the supply and demand of electricity." As electricity trading matures, electricity resources will become a new norm of the sharing economy in the future. Following vehicles and houses, energy will play a critical role in the next wave of the sharing economy. Hence, HDRE has set the sights on becoming "the Uber of the energy sector" , aiming to expedite the development of green energy life in Taiwan and turn the net-zero carbon future into a reality.
History in the making - Taiwan's first and largest island-based photovoltaic electricity site
The prerequisite of any capacity and capability to sell green energy lies in attaining and maintaining sources of generating green energy consistently. In the early days, HDRE focused on solar energy development projects. In 2021, the development and construction of electricity sources contributed to nearly 90% of the company's revenue, which shows the strength of HDRE. The year of 2022 marks a fruitful year for HDRE. Since the end of March, the new business venture "Star Power" has been jointly formed between HDRE and its existing strategic partners in the life insurance industry ― namely Taiwan Life, TransGlobe Life, and Fubon Life. As the final stages of the "Real Estate Reform" drew to its final chapters, land along the southeastern coast of Taiwan skyrocketed in value. The Star Power joint venture pioneered the integration of terrestrial fisheries in and around the Budai and Yizhu townships of Chiayi, consolidating and building on a grand total of 300 hectares of fishery real estate into a mega-solar-complex with a capacity to generate 250MW of solar-aquaculture energy. This groundbreaking endeavor has the capacity to provide ample electricity every month, for around 73,000 households, equal to the entirety of Taipei City's Luzhou District with a population density of 27,000 people per square kilometer, the second highest population density district in all of Taiwan. This is currently Taiwan's largest ever solar-aquaculture energy project yet.
