RWE's "Growing Green" Committed To 2040 Carbon Neutral Goal

　　As one of the globally renowned developers of renewable energy, #RWE Renewables has a span of 120 years of experience across both conventional and renewable energy sectors. The goal of RWE is to reach a renewable energy capacity of 50 GW by 2030 and to become a fully #carbonneutral company by 2040.

　　Monica, the current RWE Country Manager, stated that RWE launched a "Growing Green" strategy in 2021 aimed at promoting carbon-neutral transformation both in industry and society. In order to achieve its zero-carbon goal, RWE also formulated three stages carbon emission reduction plan to gradually phase out fossil fuels, while also making significant investments in wind, solar, and high-efficiency energy storage technologies to accelerate the energy transition.

　　In 2022, RWE successfully increased its renewable energy capacity by 1.3 GW worldwide. Furthermore, by the end of the year, the company completed the full installation of wind turbines at the Kaskasi wind farm, which is its sixth wind farm located off the coast of Germany.
