TAISE 2024 Hosts the 4th Taiwan Sustainable Investment Forum (Taiwan SIA) Introducing Additional Bond and Fund Awards

The Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE) is gearing up for the 2024 4th "Taiwan Sustainable Investment Forum (Taiwan SIA), which is now open for registration.
According to the 2023 Taiwan Sustainable Investment Survey conducted by the Center for Global Change and Sustainability Science of NTPU (CGCSS of NTPU), institutional investors in Taiwan had sustainable investment assets totaling NT$19.9 trillion in 2022, accounting for 40.2% of total managed assets. The proportion of sustainable investments has steadily risen, with investment practices gradually aligning with international trends. This year, TAISE is expanding the Taiwan SIA event and introducing new awards for "Sustainable Bonds" and "Sustainable Funds" to incentivize institutions to comprehensively incorporate environmental, social, and corporate governance factors into their investment decisions.
Dr. Eugene Chien, Ambassador-at-large for climate change and sustainability and Chairman/President at TAISE, noted that despite global challenges like pandemics, wars, and high inflation in recent years, the overall volume of sustainable investments remains optimistic. Taiwan's performance in sustainable investment is increasingly in line with global standards. Over the past three years, participation in the Taiwan Sustainable Investment Awards has steadily increased.
TAISE outlines that the 4th Taiwan SIA distinguishes between "Institutional Impact" and "Case Impact." "Institutional Impact" primarily acknowledges institutional entities with sustainable investment visions and strategies, transparent disclosure practices, and significant influence and benefits. "Case Impact" evaluates sustainable investment practices such as "Sustainable Theme Investments," "Impact Investments," "Shareholder Actions (voting rights exercise)," "Corporate Engagement," "ESG Innovation," "Sustainable Bonds," "Sustainable Funds," encouraging transparent disclosure and impactful and beneficial cases, promoting benchmark learning in sustainable investments.
