Recent seasonal rain fronts have brought abundant rainfall to the Taoyuan and Hsinchu regions. The Shimen Reservoir is expected to receive approximately 22.9 million cubic meters of inflow, while the Baoshan Reservoir and Baoshan Second Reservoir are nearing full capacity. As a result, both domestic and industrial water supplies in the region remain stable and secure.

Global offshore wind developers are increasingly scaling back or exiting South Korea as rising costs, financing challenges, and complex regulatory requirements undermine project viability. Norway's Equinor recently decided to halt its 750 MW Firefly (Bandibuli) floating offshore wind farm off Ulsan (울산 반딧불 부유식 해상풍력 발전소, 반딧불부유식해상풍력) , a project valued at approximately KRW 6 trillion and regarded as the world's largest single floating offshore wind farm.

Executive Yuan: Taiwan Classified Among Lower-Risk Economies in U.S. Section 301 Forced Labor Import Investigation
The Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) announced on June 3 that, according to the findings of the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) under its Section 301 investigation concerning import prohibitions on goods produced with forced labor, Taiwan has been designated as one of 14 economies assessed as presenting a relatively lower level of risk. As a result, the USTR has proposed an additional 10% tariff on Taiwan, compared with the proposed 12.5% tariff on other economies.
