According to a recent report by Les Echos, echoing the call from Prime Minister of France, Gabriel Attal, to encourage plastic reduction in industries, a plan is underway to target 50 industrial zones with the highest plastic usage. Minister for Ecological Transition and Cohesion Christophe Béchu mentioned prioritizing these zones, previously identified for emitting the most GHGs, to implement models supporting carbon reduction and encouraging industries to decrease plastic production.

According to The Economic Times in India, Prime Minister Modi recently chaired a cabinet meeting directing the Ministry of New and Renewable (MNRE) to launch the "Pradhanmantri Surydaya Yojana" project. The initiative aims to install solar panels on the roofs of 10 million houses in rural areas, reducing electricity costs for economically disadvantaged and middle-class families while promoting energy self-sufficiency in India.
