Fluence Collaborates with TECO for the Inauguration of the Taipower Longtan Energy Storage Project

Fluence announces a successful partnership with TECO Electric & Machinery Co., Ltd. (TECO) to surpass Taipower's performance standards and together have achieved the installation and formal launch of the Taoyuan Longtan ultra-high voltage substation 60 MW/80 MWh energy storage system.
The Longtan Energy Storage Project is Taipower's largest self-built energy storage facility in Taiwan. Upon completion, the total energy storage capacity is equivalent to the daily average electricity consumption of nearly 8,000 households, constituting 37.5% of Taipower's self-built storage capacity.
President of APAC at Fluence, Jan Teichmann, states, "Fluence, with over 15 years of international experience in large-scale energy storage project implementation, is honored to deepen and expand our long-term collaboration with TECO through international teamwork and technological cooperation."
Recognized as a critical government infrastructure project, the Taoyuan Longtan facility is poised to play a pivotal role in grid stability as Taiwan extensively integrates offshore wind power into its electrical system.
