SiemensGamesa Renewable Energy ( SGRE ) and HaiLong Offshore Wind (Hai Long) announced on an expansion of the offshore wind nacelle plant in Taichung on 21st Sep. The expansion will be approximately up to 90,000 square meters, which is expected to start production in 2024.

Hai Long consists of three wind farms, including Hai Long 2A (300 MW), Hai Long 2B (232 MW) and Hai Long 3 (512 MW). It is expected to deliver up to 1,044MW of locally manufactured nacelles and SG 14-222 DD direct-drive wind turbine cabins for Hai Long offshore wind project.
