The Hai Long Offshore Wind Project (hereinafter "the Hai Long Project") held a "Safety Awareness Day" today (19th), bringing together shareholders, project team members, and representatives from nine partner companies for a full-day program focused on strengthening workplace safety culture. Through experience sharing, interactive learning, and cross-team dialogue, the event aimed to enhance collective safety awareness across all participating organizations.

In addition to an environmental education workshop designed to deepen participants' understanding of marine ecological protection and sustainable development, the program featured keynote presentations underscoring the importance of cultivating a workplace culture rooted in mutual care and shared responsibility—an ethos described as building a "safety community."

The concept of a "safety community" emphasizes proactive care among colleagues, encouraging individuals to speak up, look out for one another, and jointly uphold safety responsibilities. During the keynote session, speakers noted that when all team members view themselves as part of such a community, the sense of collective belonging becomes a driving force for vigilance. This fosters early identification of potential risks, peer-to-peer safety reminders, and a unified, internalized safety mindset that strengthens overall team culture.

Chris Harvey, Head of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) for the Hai Long Project, stated that this is the second time the project has held a Safety Awareness Day. He emphasized that the gathering serves as an important opportunity for shareholders, team members, and major contractors to reflect on past experiences and align on future expectations. Through a carefully designed program, the event reinforces the project's commitment to upholding the highest environmental, health, and safety standards and to building a safer workplace for all.

The event was organized by the Hai Long Project in collaboration with project partners including BMS Offshore, CSBC-DEME Wind Engineering (CDWE), Dragon Geosciences, IOG Wind, Jan De Nul, Seaway7, Siemens Gamesa, TECO Electric & Machinery, and WSP.

The event concluded with all participants jointly signing the "Safety Declaration," pledging to prioritize health and safety in all project activities and to work together toward a safer, more reliable work environment—marking a meaningful close to this year's Safety Awareness Day.
