Siemens Energy Achieves Record Q3 Performance as Siemens Gamesa Returns to Profitability; New Brand "Omtarra" Under Preparation

Siemens Energy accelerated its profitable growth in Q3, achieving record levels of orders, revenue, and profitability. Orders reached approximately €17.9 billion, while quarterly revenue rose to a record €11.4 billion, reflecting the impact of capacity expansion and operational improvements implemented in recent years. Profit before special items more than tripled year-on-year, with the margin reaching 14.2%.
Siemens Energy CEO Christian Bruch said global demand for electricity and related energy technologies remained strong in the third quarter. "We delivered record orders, revenue, and profitability, while continuing to improve efficiency. The fact that our wind business has returned to profitability in a quarter for the first time since 2022 is a fantastic achievement by this team," Bruch stated.
Siemens Gamesa achieved a significant turnaround milestone by reporting its first profitable quarter since the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2022 and is on track to reach break-even for 2026. Driven by operational improvements, disciplined execution, and enhanced cost efficiency, the wind business recorded €75 million in profit before special items, with revenue increasing 14% year-on-year to €2.7 billion. Siemens Energy noted that further improvements in execution discipline, quality management, and cost control remain priorities.
Across other business segments, Gas Services recorded strong momentum, with orders increasing 62% year-on-year and profitability improving significantly. Grid Technologies reported record revenue of €3.6 billion, supported by increased production capacity and strong transformer demand, while Transformation of Industry achieved 32% order growth and strengthened profitability through demand in compression and industrial applications.
Siemens Energy's order backlog reached a record €162 billion at the end of the quarter, nearly 20% higher than a year earlier, providing strong revenue visibility through fiscal year 2027 and beyond. The company highlighted continued growth drivers across global markets, particularly in the Americas and the Middle East, where investments in power generation capacity and energy security continue to support demand.
Looking ahead, Siemens Energy reaffirmed its full-year outlook, expecting comparable revenue growth of 14–16%, a profit margin before special items of 10–12%, net income of approximately €4 billion, and pre-tax free cash flow of around €8 billion. The company has also begun preparations for its transition to an independent brand identity, with Siemens Energy and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy planned to operate under the new name "Omtarra" in phases starting later this year.
