Vestas Completes Taiwan's First V236-15.0 MW™ Offshore Wind Turbine Hub Assembly Ahead of Schedule; Achieves Milestone in CIP's Fengmiao 1 Project

Vestas has completed the assembly of Taiwan's first V236-15.0 MW™ offshore wind turbine hub, marking a milestone in the introduction of next-generation offshore wind technology to Taiwan. The achievement was supported by steady progress on the CIP's 495 MW Fengmiao 1 Offshore Wind Farm (渢妙一期), the first project in Taiwan's Round 3 offshore wind zonal development to secure full financing and commence construction.

Since entering Taiwan in 2000, Vestas has established a strong presence in both onshore and offshore wind, employing more than 500 people locally. The successful assembly combined the company's global technological expertise with the capabilities of its Taiwan team, which has developed specialized skills in quality management, testing and safety procedures for critical turbine components. The hub was delivered ahead of schedule, with safety and quality remaining top priorities.

The V236-15.0 MW™ is Vestas' flagship offshore wind turbine platform, designed to support standardized, large-scale production and improve project execution efficiency. Upon completion of Fengmiao 1, Vestas' cumulative offshore wind capacity delivered in Taiwan is expected to reach approximately 1.7 GW, reinforcing the company's long-term commitment to Taiwan's offshore wind sector and its contribution to the country's energy security.
