Century Group has Formed a Strategic Partnership with Shinfox Energy to Provide Underwater Foundations of 3.2 Auction
Century Group officially entered into a memorandum (MOU) of cooperation with Shinfox Energy regarding the provision of foundation at the Taipei Port Plant of Century Wind Power, with an aggregate capacity of approximately 600 MW project under Shinfox Energy's management.
The supply outlined in the MoU pertains to the jacket foundation requirements for Shinfox Energy's in 3.2 auction. Specifically, the jacket will be fabricated and provided by Century Wind Power's facility at the Taipei Port Plant, while the pin pile components will be manufactured and supplied by Century Huaxin Wind Energy's facility located at the Taichung Port Plant. Established in 2017, Century Wind Power stands as the Group's pioneering subsidiary in the offshore wind sector, primarily specializing in the production of casing underwater foundations. On the other hand, founded in 2020, Century Huaxin operates as a subsidiary dedicated to manufacturing pin piles, wind turbine towers, and components for foundation structures.
The collaboration between the 2 local groups within the offshore wind industry commenced with Taipower's Phase II offshore wind farm. During this phase, Century Group undertook the manufacturing and supply of 31 jacket foundations and 124 pin piles. Presently, the Taipei Port Plant of Century Wind Power has completed 7 jacket foundations, with a projected completion of 9 by the end of the current month. Moving forward, the plant anticipates completing 4~5 jacket foundations per month. Additionally, the production of the 124 pin piles has been carried out at Century Huaxin's Taichung Port plant. In forthcoming projects, Century Group aims to leverage the insights gained from the execution of the Taipower Phase II project. The objective is to successfully meet various critical milestones while ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
