Crisis in the European Solar Industry
Despite the ambitious climate goals set by the EU, the domestic solar industry is failing to thrive. Instead, the European solar sector is facing its most severe crisis in over a decade. The intense competition from products imported from mainland China is weakening local solar manufacturing, diminishing Europe's hopes for energy autonomy.

European Parliament Strengthens Product Labeling to Combat Greenwashing
The European Parliament (EP) has passed a directive with 593 votes in favor, 21 against, and 14 abstentions to improve product labeling and prohibit greenwashing. The directive calls for clearer product labeling to provide consumers with more transparent choice information, protecting them from misleading marketing. This includes prohibiting terms such as ecological, natural, biodegradable, climatically neutral, or echo without clear evidence.

CPC Advances "Mobile Hydrogen Refueling Station Installation and Demonstration Operation" Project
In line with Taiwan's energy policies, CPC is accelerating the establishment of natural gas receiving stations, green energy investments, carbon capture, and hydrogen application layouts. CPC Chairman Li Shun-Chin stated that, in alignment with the domestic low-carbon transportation policy, CPC is launching the "Mobile Hydrogen Refueling Station Installation and Demonstration Operation" project. The first demonstration Hydrogen Refueling Station is planned for construction in Kaohsiung's proprietary area by 2024, aligning with plans for public-sector hydrogen buses and marking CPC's entry into the primary hydrogen sector.
