The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic recently announced the establishment of SIRS (Státní investiční a rozvojové společnosti) to attract strategic investments like electric vehicle battery or semiconductor production to the Czech Republic. |Vietnam Establishes Its First Carbon Credit Training Institution
Vietnam's Lilama 2 Technology International College, in collaboration with the UK's Pearson under BTEC Pearson (Business & Technology Education Council), signed a partnership for the "Semiconductor Technology and Carbon Credit Training Program Transfer." This marks Vietnam's first carbon credit education institution. Starting in 2024, the institution will train students in semiconductor technology and carbon credits, with the first batch comprising 25-50 students for periods ranging from 3 months to 3 years. BTEC Pearson has assisted in training the school's faculty and, in collaboration with the German government, provided necessary training equipment to ensure infrastructure and workforce.

|Hualien Clears White Popinac for Biomass Energy to Balance Carbon Reduction and Ecological Restoration
In Hualien, Taiwan, the Papaya River high-beach ecosystem faces an invasion of the invasive species White Popinac. Recognizing the risk of sprouting after removal, the Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency Hualien Branch, the 9th River Management Branch of the Water Resources Agency MOEA, and Taiwan Cement Corp (TCC) have collaborated. The removed White Popinac waste wood will be processed into biomass energy by TCC. In 2023, 45.52 metric tons were removed, equivalent to replacing 47.75 metric tons of coal, achieving multiple benefits.
