Exploration of Continental Shelf Mineral Resources Open for Application in Norway
The Ministry of Petroleum and Energy submitted a White Paper to the Norwegian Parliament (The Storting) in 2023 regarding opening mineral resources on the Norwegian continental shelf and managing crucial underwater mineral resources. This includes fundamental research and impact assessments, consolidating multidimensional knowledge of natural resources, the environment, economic activities, and potential impacts in the region. The impact assessment involves the formulation of evaluation plans and public opinion response assessments.

IEA Report: Global Renewable Energy Generation Capacity Soars by 50% in 2023
A report released by the International Energy Agency (IEA) on the 11th reveals that the global renewable energy generation capacity reached 510 GW in 2023, a staggering 50% increase from the previous year. IEA predicts continued robust development of renewable energy in the next five years.

TITA Initiates One-stop CBAM Declaration Assistance; Experts Visit Companies to Support Export Compliance
To assist businesses in coping with the European Union's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) declaration procedures, the Taiwan International Trade Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs (TITA) expands its support. In 2024, TITA will offer a three-stage one-stop service for CBAM declarations, including free consultation hotlines, one-on-one online customized guidance and consulting, and on-site services, aiding companies in submitting CBAM transitional period declaration materials.
