Taiya Renewable Energy (TRE) has decided not to participate in Taiwan's 3.2 offshore wind zonal development auction after careful evaluation.

TRE is a local developer in Taiwan that was established in 2020. It is the only developer in the country with a domestic team and funding. TRE has been actively supporting government energy policies since the potential sites and 3.1 zonal development. It has successfully obtained development qualifications and is currently preparing for pre-development work on wind farms. One of its major projects is the "Huanya Offshore Wind Project" in Miaoli, which has already passed environmental impact assessments (EIA) and is qualified for bidding.

The "Huanpeng I/Huanpeng III Offshore Wind Power Project" is being developed at the junction of Changhua and Penghu waters. The project has been re-established based on the opinions of the locals in Penghu and has now entered the EIA process. TRE is committed to deepening communication and demonstrating the utmost sincerity of local developers in achieving mutual prosperity with Penghu.

TRE stated that although it will not participate in the 3.2 zonal development auction, it will continue to invest in more comprehensive and effective social communication and focus on the progress of current projects.
