Record High Number of Electric Viecles in France
According to a report by La Tribune, the latest statistics released by Plateforme Automobile (PFA) on January 1 reveal that the French car market had over 1.77 million newly registered private cars by 2023, marking a 16.07% growth. Electric vehicle sales significantly increased by 47% compared to 2022, reaching a historic high.

Philippines to Build World's Largest Solar Power Plant
SP New Energy Corporation announced on the 1st that its subsidiary, Terra Solar Philippines, has broken ground on its solar plant project in Bulacan and Nueva Ecija provinces. The project covers approximately 3,500 hectares, with a total installed capacity of 3,500MW of solar panels and 4,000MW of energy storage facilities. The project, costing around $3.6 billion, is expected to complete its first phase by the first quarter of 2026.

Domestic Organic Fertilizer Carbon Sequestration on the Rise – A Potential Method for Emission Reduction
The Ministry of Agriculture in Taiwan stated on the 2nd that, starting last year, the subsidy for using domestically produced organic fertilizer with over 50% livestock manure content has doubled from NT$2 to NT$4 per kilogram. This led to a 50% increase in the promotion area, resulting in a carbon sequestration increase of over 90,000 metric tons in the soil. This approach is poised to become a methodology for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
