Vena Energy joined forces with Chang Jung Christian University (CJCU) in a partnership to serve the local community. On December 9, 2023, a hiking event promoting senior-friendly development took place in Yanshuei, Tainan. A total of 122 seniors from 10 communities participated in the 1.6 km walk, starting at the Tianliao community and becoming a significant highlight for the local area.

Since 2021, Vena Energy and CJCU have embarked on a collaborative journey, infusing sustainable living principles directly into the community. By incorporating green energy knowledge into elementary school curricula, residents' awareness of the significance of green energy has been elevated.

Moreover, the initiative offers students opportunities to engage in practical community service. Over 35 events have been organized in partnership with CJCU's Department of Athletic Sports, Green Energy and Environmental Resources, Tourism, Food & Beverage Management, and the International College of Practice and Education for the Environment.

The project's overarching objective is establishing enduring and friendly relations with the local community, promoting green energy education—particularly solar and wind energy—and sharing knowledge with community residents while fulfilling corporate social responsibility.

Through community engagement, especially encouraging senior citizens to participate in regular exercise, the Tianliao community proudly stands as Taiwan's first super-aging walking group. Proactively enhancing the quality of life for residents, we aim to bring positive impacts to the entire community while advancing green energy development."

Qing-Yi Hong, dean of the International College of Practice and Education for the Environment, highlighted the concrete impact of the collaboration with Vena Energy: "This partnership allows students to step beyond the confines of the classroom, viewing community development as an indispensable aspect of the university mission. CJCU has amalgamated resources from various departments, orchestrating entertaining and informative activities and enabling Yanshuei residents to experience and comprehend the importance of renewable energy. Additionally, introducing international students infuses the community with fresh vibrancy."
