GRUNDFOS and YCM Collaborate to Advance Sustainable Transformation in Taiwan's Machine Tool Industry

The advanced pump solution and water resource technology company, GRUNDFOS Pumps, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Yeong Chin Machinery Industries (YCM) on the 30th, aiming to accelerate the adoption of smart and energy-efficient systems in Taiwan's machine tool industry, promoting environmental sustainability. As the world's first company to achieve full verification of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for the 2050 net-zero emissions goal, GRUNDFOS is committed to providing intelligent, connected, and energy-saving pump solutions that help customers optimize system performance, save energy, and reduce carbon emissions.

YCM, specializing in high-end machine tool manufacturing, has successfully integrated GRUNDFOS's iSolutions and intelligent variable frequency pumps over the years. This collaboration transcends mere product supply, symbolizing an elevated strategic alliance. Both parties anticipate leveraging advanced green and energy-efficient technologies to embed smart energy-saving concepts into the industry, thereby advancing comprehensive green manufacturing.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs implemented the Motor-driven Systems Subsidy Project in 2023 to support energy conservation and carbon reduction. GRUNDFOS's CR and CM intelligent variable frequency pump solutions have been certified by the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), enabling users to receive varying subsidies per KW for each pump.
