Taiwan Smart Electricity & Energy Co., Ltd. (TSEE) announced today (Dec. 5) the signing of a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Formosa 4, a project under Synera Renewable Energy Group (SRE Group). This marks TSEE's second long-term offshore wind procurement contract, underscoring the company's expanding presence in Taiwan's offshore wind market and its strategic role in supporting national energy policy, improving market efficiency, and advancing industrial power transition.

Amid surging demand for green electricity from Taiwan's export-driven industries, Synera Renewable Energy Group (SRE), a leading offshore wind developer in the Asia-Pacific region, announced today the signing of a corporate power purchase agreement (CPPA) with Taiwan Smart Electricity & Energy Co., Ltd. (TSEE). Under the agreement, SRE will supply stable, long-term renewable power from its Formosa 4 Offshore Wind Farm to support industrial decarbonization, strengthen green competitiveness and contribute to sustainable development.

Presidential Office Expresses Appreciation to U.S. President Trump for Signing the Taiwan Assurance Implementation Act
The Presidential Office extends its sincere appreciation to United States President Donald Trump, who on December 2 (US EST) formally signed the Taiwan Assurance Implementation Act, which stipulates that the US Secretary of State shall conduct a review of the Department of State's guidance that governs relations with Taiwan, including related documents, and reissue such guidance not less than every five years, as well as submit an updated report to Congress not later than 90 days after completing the review.

The Energy Administration of Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs, together with the Danish Trade Council, the Finnish Trade Center, and the Swedish Trade and Invest Council in Taipei, co-hosted the 2025 Nordic–Taiwan Sustainable Energy Forum on December 3 at the GIS MOTC Convention Center. The event drew a strong turnout from domestic and international industry leaders, experts and research institutions.
