Dong Fang Offshore orders key mission equipment for the conversion of the Orient Adventurer
Dong Fang Offshore Co., Ltd. (DFO) today announces the purchase of a brand new cable carousel to be fit in the hold of the "Orient Adventurer," furthering its commitment to deliver end-to-end solutions in the installation of cables for the offshore wind, interconnector, and telecoms industries. The investment decision was made independently by DFO, is not tied to any specific project, and represents a major investment in cable installation capacity for wind farms in the APAC region. The conversion works for the installation of the cable carousel will begin at the end of 2023, and can be completed within the first half of 2024.

Carbon fee becomes a focused issue, and it will be levied starting 2025 based on the Carbon Footprint Verification survey results in 2024, announced by Tsai Ling-yi, the current director of Climate Change Agency of Ministry of Environment. She confirmed that due to legal limitations, the carbon fee planned to be implemented in 2024 and to be levied in 2025.
